The Viva Las Vegas Burlesque Competiton

One of the most Exciting competitions of the year. The Rockin Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly weekender.

The competition is held a on a grand stage at the fabulous New Orleans Hotel and is nothing short of Fabulous.

The details to enter are as below:

A panel of judges will choose 3 contestants to go to the finals.  Followed by the contestants who will pick a fourth finalist. Then the judges will choose another 10 who go into the online voting during January, from which the top four go to the live final at VLV making a total of 8 competitors in the final.

DATES

October 1st – System opens for online entries.

January 5th – Online entries close midnight Pacific Standard Time.

January 8th – Judges and contestants finalists announced.

January 10th – Online voting starts.

February 10th – Online voting closes midnight Pacific Standard Time. Live Final Contestants Announced.

Teaching Emily Scott Burlesque

I had the privileged opportunity to meet the stunning Emily Scott, a celebrity right out of Sydney.

The First thing I will say is how warm and down to earth Emily is. An accomplished Dj and Model and also enchanting TV personality. Infact straight out of Im a Celebrity get me Out Of Here.

Emily came to me to learn the Art of Burlesque, and it was nothing short of fun and Emily to be honest is a natural talent who can glide round the stage with a natural ease and grace.

Emily is definately receptive to what burlesque is and truely has pure interest in the art form and does have natural Va Va Voom in fact she reminded me of a classic 1930’s Hollywood starlet.

I think it would be a total blast to have Emily on stage in her own show. heres hoping

Virgin Holidays – World Record for the Largest Burlesque Dance – 3rd january

Sharon k today of Burlesque Baby Led the World Burlesque record attempt for Virgin Holidays.

We first started off with a photo shoot at Trafalgar square

then sharon led over 100 burly girls dressed in red and black, to the grand in Northumberland avenue for a grand lesson in Burlesque .

Sharon led the Burly clad beauties thru an uplifting uptempo Burlesque routine.

Everyone had a blast , thanks for everyone who came down , what a splendid day xxx

Virgin Holidays- Worlds Largest Dance – Jan 3rd London

Burlesque Baby, Retrotease and Virgin Holidays are getting together for the Guinness World Records largest burlesque dance attempt!

Fancy starting the New Year by breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest burlesque dance? Why not join us in our record attempt on Monday 3rd January 2011.
Calling all Burlesque Lovers. No experience. No peeling (except gloves). Just the Moves.
We need you gorgeous gals to perform a simple 5 minute routine which will be taught beforehand in an easy and fun burlesque masterclass.
All participants will need to register between 9:00-9.30am January 3rd at the fabulous grand ballroom of number 8 Northumberland Avenue, next to Trafalgar Square (Nearest tubes: Piccadilly Circus, Charing Cross, Embankment). The day will kick off with a photoshoot in Trafalgar Square with a professional photographer and national press. The record attempt will be filmed for online publicity – so dress to impress!

So if you’d like to take part, bring your highest heels, cheekiest outfits (gloves, heels and feathers a necessity) and something warm to wrap up in afterwards. To thank all involved, a fabulous 5-night holiday for two to Las Vegas is up for grabs once the record has been attempted!

25th July Streetfighters are helping to organise a huge motorcycling/stunt riding event at Wembley in London. One of the attractions is the Ace Cafe Hostess Of The Year competition which will be held during the day.

Prizes for the winner include:

- a minimum of £1000 worth of work with the Ace Cafe
- a centrespread/cover shoot for Streetfighters for which you’ll be paid £300
- a fully paid shoot for the prestigious Crossbow Calendars too (fee tbc)
